While we navigate our sorrows, how do we think about and relate to God?
This sermon, the final in a series, explores ways we can engage with God in the midst of our suffering, or ways we can engage our suffering in light of God’s presence with us. “If faced rightly, suffering can drive you like a nail into the heart of God and you know why that is so? Because it’s in the heart of God: suffering, because that’s who Jesus is.” We’ll consider what it means to become a “theologian of the cross,” and consider: could it be that the way to power, freedom, and joy is through suffering, loss, and sorrow?
